The Director represents the Department, chairs the Faculty and Executive Committee Meetings as well as overseeing decisions and implementation.
Research and teaching: in consultation with the Deputy Directors for research and teaching, the Director shall draft a yearly plan for the teaching and research activities at the DSTF, ensure that suitable organisation is in place and draft a yearly report on teaching and research which will be approved at the department faculty meeting. The Director is also responsible for Quality Assurance within the department. The Deputy Director for Research chairs and coordinates the work of the Research Committee. The Deputy Director for teaching chairs and coordinates the work of the Teaching Committee.
